Yen has a strong tradition of supporting women across all fields but particularly those in the creative arts. Every issue features the best and brightest creative cats out there. Our website showcases a host of talented female artists and our dedicated Featured Illustrator Gallery is one of the most popular parts of the site.

It was only a matter of time before we decided to create a competition to conquer them all, one that would unearth the most exciting female artists out there. Now in its second year, the Yen Art Awards is back to bring you the best in home-grown female talent.

But this is so much more than a competition. There's also a party, and who doesn't love a good party? Join in the celebrations with the launch of the finalists' exhibition at Gaffa Gallery on 27 June 2013.
