Job Envy alert! L.A resident Mark Hunter (aka the Cobrasnake) gets paid to travel the globe.
The Cobrasnake‘s job is taking pictures at luxe, celebrity-infused parties and events. One such devilishly fun event was Lavazza’s supreme party effort at the Melbourne Cup carnival’s crescendo – Saturday’s Stakes Day.
While the other marquees at Flemington were a little subdued, Lavazza took the revelry to the next level with liqueur-spiked coffee shots, cute burger bites from the dudes at Beatbox Kitchen, classic beats from DJ Alexandra Richards and too-easy-to-drink wines by the magical name of MOJO. Add random explosions of vibrant confetti and a body building, speedo-clad man flexing his muscles while standing on the bar – and you’ll soon see that the Cobrasnake had alotttttttt of material to work with…
So, this is the Cobrasnake’s ridiculous life – rolling from party to party, capturing the fashion, frivolity, froth and fun (all of which were representing big time in the Birdcage). As one of the world’s most highly sought-after event photographers he has certainly come a long way from the ambitious, hardworking teenager who decided his future was going to be more sparkly than the toilets he was cleaning!
Forget a career – Hunter has forged himself into an ostentatious brand and you can’t help but tip your hat to someone brave, bold and ballsy enough to follow through on a big dream. He loves our Great Southern Land, having made the long-haul air-trek here no less than six times before so let’s hope he gets lured down under again to sink his fangs into our social scene once more.
