Entries are now open for the 2013 Tropfest Short Film Festival. Films can be about anything but must include the annual Tropfest Signature Item, which for 2013 is ‘Balloon’. The festival began 20 years ago, when John Polson started the ‘Tropicana Short Film Festival’, hosted at the Tropicana Cafe in Darlinghurst, Sydney. Now, the festival is hosted in nine countries!
So grab a camera, a brilliant writer and director – and don’t forget to include balloons! Entries will close at 6pm sharp on January 3, 2013 (Australian Eastern Daylight Time).
In the meantime, take inspiration from the 2012 winning film, Lemonade Stand, directed by Alethea Jones and produced by Julian Vincent Costanzo, Tim Potter, and Alethea Jones.
