Lena Dunham and Jon Hamm for The New Yorker

Anne Fullerton | 9 August 2012

In a short resembling a late-night chat show, Dunham introduces “host” Jon Hamm to the concept of an app, an iPhone and explains what The New Yorker actually is (“Like Rolling Stone, but they would never put Britney Spears humping a guitar on the cover”). It also features a clip from a fake film within a film, including a turn from our favourite Girls man, Alex Karpovsky. It’s not an entirely unexpected collaboration, given Dunham has contributed essays to the publication in the past and the pretty neat short The New Yorker made with Jason Schwartzman and Roman Coppola few years back.

Come for the star power, stay for the high pants.
