There’s still time to get in and experience Melbourne’s International Film Festival (MIFF). It started in 1952 and has been going strong since, with a host of award-winning local and international films.

Opening night saw the Australian premiere of the Australian Cannes Film Festival success, The Sapphires. Closing night will see Toni Colette reunite with Muriel’s Wedding Director P.J. Hogan in Mental. Each day of the festival presents films from categories such as; International Panorama, Accent on Asia, Indie Docs from China, ’70s New Hollywood comedy, Animation and Shorts.
