Splendour In The Grass has a way of sending the internet and all the people on it into meltdown. No longer is living under a rock an excuse for not knowing when tickets went on sale and who got them. So it goes without saying that if you tried to get a ticket and missed out, the only way to curb the cyber-humiliation and constant reminder that you’re not going is to delete all social networking accounts and throw your computer (or other internet accessing device) at a wall.
But we hope you haven’t taken these drastic measures just yet because we have good news. Secret Sounds have announced that Friends, Howler and Zulu Winter are joining forces at their sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne for a mini-Splendour (and a giant reassurance that your life isn’t over)!
In Melbourne: Friends, Howler and Zulu Winter will be playing at The Corner Hotel on Tuesday 24 July.
And in Sydney: The three bands will play at Oxford Art Factory on Wednesday 25 July.
This year Adelaide is also having it’s own Splendour alternative,Spin Off festival, playing host to Lana Del Rey, Kimbra, Band Of Skulls, Friends, Last Dinosaurs, Yacht Club DJs, Bleeding Knees Club, DZ Deathrays and The Rubens.
