What do you do?
Blogger and jewellery designer.
Tell us about your camera.
It’s a Mamiya RB67 Pro-S, which I bought on eBay after hours of research. There are two main reasons why I love it: it has a waist-level finder (which means that you look down into the viewfinder from above) and it can take instant photos with a Polaroid back attached to it. It’s a really big, heavy camera, but it’s a pleasure to use.
Why is this your favourite photo?
Because of the soft textures and the way the light glows. It was taken at home. At that particular time I had a vase full of peonies at my disposal. Unplanned photos often end up being the ones you love most.
Why do you take photos?
Looking at the world through a camera makes you realise its beauty. When shooting film, there’s also the aspect of surprise and delayed gratification. The other reason is that I love looking at old photos and remembering what it was like in those moments.
