This month we had the pleasure to blow out the candles for YEN’s third birthday!! It was a time for us to look back on past few years, and we are so proud to say, without being totally biased of course, that the YEN crew has stayed true blue to what we believe in. What’s that? To deliver a magazine that offers you an alternative. We’re not about showing you how to give the best blowjob or how to look sexy for your ‘man’. YEN’s outlook on life is to go for gritty not pretty. We have always loved to look at life without rose coloured glasses, and we don’t want that to change any time soon!

In this issue Maiko Kuzunishi joined YEN as guest illustrator. The presence of a guest illustrator was starting to become a growing trend. We see it as a great way to keep the pages fun, fresh and inspirational. We also added a few new pages, such as Meet&Greet, a space totally dedicated to promote fresh and raw Aussie talent. Meet&Greet met such a well deserved subject matter that it has continued to make an appearance from this issue onwards.
