It was with great pride and honour to launch the inaugural Young Woman of the Year Award in issue #21. YEN thought it was time to venture out of their own playground to hunt down the most inspirational and successful women, aged 18 – 35 across the design, fashion, film, music, hairdressing, modelling, community, sport and business industries. The goal was to find these women, and support them by acknowledging their commitment, dedication and passion they give to their particular industry. The award scheme is an annual happening and has a national reach.

While we saluted the new guard of Australian women in issue 21, we also explored the spiritual side of life with ‘Religion City’. The writer took a deep breath and his sceptical self along to Hillsong church to see what all the fuss was. He discovered they weren’t trying to force their world-view down his throat and he could either take it or leave it. YEN also took a look at 52 ways to make the world a better place. We all know that ordinary people can make a difference and this particular feature demonstrates that point.
