Back Issues
Issue 30

The festive season is now upon us and the YEN team have been working away like Santa’s little elves to bring you this amazing issue.
This months cover star is of course the gorgeous Rose Byrne. Rose has always been a YEN favourite, and now her incredible talent and “radiant and mysterious” presence is being felt around the world. YEN’s London correspondent Millie Ross spoke to Byrne about making the move to the big apple, and the recent roles that are bringing her the industry kudos and international recognition she so deserves.
In talk of female icons, issue 30 also features an interview with the fabulous Beth Ditto. 2007 has been a huge year for Ditto; from The Gossip’s show stealing performance at the Reading festival, to the proclamation of Beth as “the coolest person in rock”. Beth’s explosive voice and equally bombastic personality seen the emergence of Ditto-philes around the world- and YEN is most definitely one of them.
In other features, our New York reporter Bec Couche meets human rights activist Sara Rahbar; an Iranian/American artist who uses her work to educate others on revolution, war and cultural struggle.
It’s going to be a black, hot summer and fashion director Imogene has captured the mood perfectly in two beautiful spreads that invoke romance, mystery and a bit of black magic. Meanwhile, our beauty pages take advantage of the party season with a cocktail of colours and textures that demand to be shaken & stirred.
