Emotional healing

DISCOVER HOW YOUR THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS AFFECT EVERY CELL OF YOUR BODY, AND HOW YOU CAN HEAL YOURSELF WITH THE HELP FROM AN EXPERT HEALER, INNA SEGAL
The interconnection between unresolved negative emotions and disease is undeniable. Scientific research has shown that negative thoughts, beliefs, attitudes and emotions weaken the nervous and immune systems and can lead to disease, while positive emotions release endorphins in our bodies, which lead to health, happiness and wellbeing.
Unresolved negative emotions such as depression, fear, anger, disappointment, unworthiness, worry, stress, sadness, hate, jealousy, irritation, hopelessness and sadness can lead to headaches, colds, addictions, allergies, bloating, back pain, asthma as well as cancer.
Dr Tim Bajraszewski, of the Centre of Integrative Medicine says,
“It is now well accepted that stress is a major factor in the onset and aggravation of many conditions ranging from cardiovascular disease
to cancer.”
EMOTIONS AFFECT OUR CELLS
On a physical level our emotions can literally alter our cells and therefore have an effect on our wellbeing. Toxic feelings and thoughts eventually lead to a toxic body, while positive healthy thoughts and attitudes relax our bodies, give us more energy and zest for life.
Petrea King, Founding Director of the Quest for Life Centre says, “Our issues are in our tissues. When we react to people or events in our lives
we literally re-activate a physiology in our body that we have experienced before.”
Imagine waking in the morning and thinking that you don’t want to get out of bed because you’ve had a difficult week. You imagine how hard your day may be, all the things you have to do, the difficult people you may encounter, etc.
How would your body react? It is likely you would feel weaker, tighter, stressed, heavier and more lethargic.
Now imagine waking, feeling excited, thinking, “Today is going to be fantastic”, affirming that incredible people and opportunities are to come into your life. It is likely that you would feel more enthusiastic, joyful, stronger and energetic.
EMOTIONAL HEALING
To experience emotional healing, it’s essential that you make a commitment to succeed, and take responsibility for your actions. Taking responsibility does not mean blaming yourself for feeling unwell; on the contrary it means discovering what choices or decisions you made that did not work and changing them.
Think about a difficult time in your life; ask, “What have I learnt? What would I do differently?”
MY STORY
At nineteen I was so unwell and felt so much pain in my back that for weeks I was barely able to walk. I had visited many practitioners; both mainstream and alternative with little success.
The turning point came when I was in agony and my body felt and looked like it was disfigured. When I finally made it into the chiropractor’s office, he took one look at me and said he could not help. I was distraught and angry and felt like giving up.
Later that day, sitting on my bed, contemplating my bleak future, I had an epiphany. I had relied on others to heal me, hoping they could save me. The answer was clear. I needed to help myself. But how?
DISCOVERING MY ABILITY TO HEAL
I sensed that my body has an ability to heal. However, first I had to discover the purpose of my pain. I felt that my body was attempting to give me a message.
Though I was still in pain, I felt I had a purpose. I didn’t know exactly how to begin self-healing, so I decided to meditate, which I had never done. I had read that a good way to start was to count backwards. Breathing deeply I began counting backwards from thirty.
After a few moments I saw an image of a disfigured back. Many vertebrae looked out of place and inflamed. Shocked, I thought, “I don’t like this dream”. Then it hit me. I wasn’t dreaming I was looking at an image of my own back.
I became aware of emotional memories, which for many years had been suppressed in my back and nervous system. The fear, frustration, anger, guilt and shame I had picked up from my family and others began to surface. I became calm and thought, I am willing to let these feelings go. Within moments I felt a connection to an incredible healing energy.
It was like a warm shimmering sun, melting all the rigidity and pain.
I experienced a deep spiritual love then fell into a restful sleep.
The following morning, around 70 percent of my pain was gone. Excited, I decided to experiment with this healing as much as I could. Within three weeks I was pain free.
Six months later I saw my chiropractor for a check up. Amazed, he said, “Whatever you are doing, keep doing it, because it works.”
After my back pain had released, I successfully worked on healing my skin, digestive problems and anxiety.
CHANGING OUR THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS
I have spent many years researching how our thoughts and emotions
affect our bodies and how we can best deal with these. This research gave birth to my book, The Secret Language of Your Body: The Essential Guide to Healing.
In the book I explain our bodies have a secret language in which they communicate with us. From my experience the body will do whatever you ask. If you constantly say that you can’t handle things, your hands will become stiff and clenched and you won’t be able to handle anything new. If you say “My boss is a pain in the neck”, you will manifest neck problems. When you think, “Oh what a headache this will be”, your body is listening. Because it is good at taking direction it immediately starts building tension in your head, so that you can feel your head ache.
Dr Robin Youngson, Founder, of the Centre for Compassion in Healthcare says “Livid, pissed off, torn up inside, heartache, bone weary, jaundiced, gut wrenching, blood boiling, pain in the neck, stab in the back, takes my breath away, a rash decision, sick to death – our language is alive with ancient wisdom about the origin of many illnesses.”
He believes that by changing the way we think and speak we can free ourselves, “From the toxic effects of unconscious beliefs and emotions and start on a path of self-healing.”
Louise Hay, best selling author of, You Can Heal Your Life, writes, “We create every so called ‘illness’ in our body.” She says, “The body, like everything else in life, is a mirror of our inner thoughts and beliefs. The body is always talking to us, if we will only take the time to listen.”
EMOTIONAL RELEASE PROCESS
Place your hands on the part of your body where you feel the negative emotion most intensely. Breathe into that area for a few moments and allow any emotion to rise to the surface with little resistance. Then relax your hands.
Repeat this statement with feeling and a strong intention to heal. The Healing Intelligence of my body, using the orange-red flame of purification please dissolve all destructive, limiting, stagnant, _________ (put in the emotion you are working with) emotions from my cellular memories, mind and energy field. Work with me to release patterns of strain, struggle, effort and resistance. Dissolve all blockages in my mind, body and emotions, which obstruct my flow of energy and circulation. Thank you.
Repeat the word clear, while focusing on clearing stress and heaviness from your body.
Allow the orange-red flame to move through your body, mind, emotions and energy field. Observe as it dissolves all negative thoughts, words, feelings, memories and images associated with a particular person, place or experience that has bound you.
