Blushing Beauty

Sometimes we keep applying the same products over and over again, just because they’re in our make-up bag. Powder blush is one of them. Powder gives the cheeks a matte look, but we suggest creme for a dewy, fresh-faced look à la Chanel SS12. Slightly intimidating, creme blushes are surprisingly a breeze to apply, as long as you properly blend. Here are some tips:

1. Always use your fingers to apply and work the creme blush in.
2. Start on the apple of your cheek, and work the rose hue out following the cheek bones.
3. Because of the intensity of colour, and usually thick texture of the product, make sure you blend the blush into your base for a natural look.
4. For an extra dewy finish, and cheek bones that sing, take a little illuminating liquid and lightly apply to the cheek bones.

These are our picks for creme blushes. Most come in varying shades for different skin tones.
