Pixie Geldof: Imminent rehab-centric future aside, I think we may have a new style icon on our hands.

WHILE we still all worship the ever-quirky-fashionable-covetable la Moss, this is one outfit I think most devotees would have to question. On a rare outing with her daughter Lila Grace, 5, the trendy mumma stepped out in a see-thru maxi dress drawing maxi-mum attention that left little to the imagination, revealing not only a bra-less chest, but it seems a sans-panties view also.
The risqué gown made its outing arm in arm with latest beau and the other half of The Kills, Jamie Hince at the opening of the exhibition of photographs by late fashion photographer Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, in the Turkish city of
Her see-thru fashion sense hasn’t deterred industry insiders who seem to be hiring the supermodel for just about every editorial spread and campaign of late.

IT doesn’t matter that I was wearing them first. Before they became `the in thing’, I was wearing the vintage variety around the newsroom where my colleagues would often comment on how quirky and unusual my fashion sense is.And now, low and behold, this statement relic piece from the 70s has officially been dusted off to make it into this season’s hottest trend. Unfortunately I may have to resign to the fact that I will always be sanctioned to the out-of-style quarters, deemed always to be `uncool’ because I am forever a step ahead before the fashion has managed to reach the ‘trend alert’ status in the mainstream realm.
Ah well, not to worry. While it still won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, you can place a bet at your local TAB that this lovely piece will be making a resurgence among the style seeking super ladylike femmes in your local hood.
“She wakes up in the morning, goes to the bathroom to take a shower and runs by the full-length mirror because she can’t bare to look at herself naked.
She only weighs 104 pounds, but all she can think is, I need to be thinner.
She hurries to her first show, where she promises herself she’ll eat a few grapes.
But when she gets there, there’s nothing but pastries.
First looks are called, she puts on her dress and it takes three people to zip her up.
The dresser makes a joke, ‘We almost had to call the agency and tell them you didn’t fit.’ All the girl can think is, I better not eat until tomorrow.”
Those were the words of model Coco Rocha as she described a day in a model’s life at the CFDA discussion on “The Beauty of Health: How the Fashion Industry Can Make a Difference.”
In conjunction with CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg and Michael Kors, the model and her colleagues spoke up about the imminent health dangers of modeling in an industry where the pressure to stay thin is heavier than ever. Rocha told the audience: “They said, ‘You need to lose more weight — the look this year is anorexia, and although we don’t want you to be anorexic, we want you to look it,’” she recalled. “My question is, how do you look anorexic unless you actually are?” The discussion aimed to shed light, knowledge, and understanding on the pressures models experience with the rest of the fashion industry. Along with encouraging agencies to work with nutritionists and trainers, Kors suggested for people to treat the models not at mannequins, but as actual people. The meeting was very necessary and hopefully made more of a step in the direction towards healthier models. www.fabsugar.com

It’s obviously not enough that she was blessed with the ultimate genetic combination,
After a meeting with New York-based agent Stephen Lee, Ms Wintour said she wanted Catherine to be an `absolute, total Vogue girl’. “No Harper’s or anything else – just Vogue. Anna says Catherine epitomizes everything that Vogue wants and stands for now,” says Lee. And if that doesn’t convince you, then perhaps her latest contract as the brand ambassador for Australian swimwear label Seafolly will. Seafolly MD Anthony Halas backs up the Wintour praise. “Catherine McNeil is the most significant brand ambassador signing in Seafolly’s 33-year history and is an international brand coup,” he said. McNeil, who said she was enjoying living in
