For the Ladies
Posted 4th Sep 2007 by R2B2

For their new collaboration with the crew from Yo! MTV Raps, Puma is body-popping back to the old skool.  They’ve teamed up with ‘80s hip-hop legends Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, MC Shan and others to create a limited-edition range of shoes and streetwear that reference the rap players of yesteryear. Titled “For the Ladies”, Big Daddy Kane’s Puma suedes feature patent-leather detailing and an embroidered image of his trademark gold chain. Meanwhile Puma pay tribute to MC Shan’s signature look of mixing pairs of sneakers by designing his range both in red and blue - perfect for colourblind B-Boys everywhere.

Copenhagen Fashion Week Highlights
Posted 22nd Aug 2007 by Jean-Robert Saintil
Phew! It’s taken a while to recover from this seasons fashion fest which saw both Wood Wood and Henrik Vibskov take the CPH ‘scarves and skinnies’ look in a new direction, toning down the flouro and adding slightly more daring patterns to the mix. The apex of the week came from A/W’s hero Annhagen, whose flowing earthy pieces were both sensual and asexual. Vita Vass’ show also deserves a mention, forever working the quirkily functional. However it was Stine Goya (pictured), whose name punctuated most conversations, for her playfully daring show that smirked in the face of Scandinavian reserve whilst remaining quintessentially Dansk.
Hope for Fashion
Posted 3rd Aug 2007 by Pebbles Hooper
Many people judge the fashion industry to be about as deep as a puddle - but last night the Hope Foundation threw a fashion show with a group of local designers of including Mala Brajkovic, Zambesi, Des Rusk, Nyne Olga and Juliette Hogan - all to raise money for children suffering with Aids in Africa.
The backstage looked as if a blind bull had torn through it, but thankfully it pulled
through all for a good cause.
Auckland band The Electric Confectionaries wrapped up the event (pictured)- and although the irony of the fashion industry and Africa was all too clear - it was a well worth effort.
Street Peeper

If you like perving on other people’s style choices, you’ll love Street Peeper.

Street style celebrations are near ubiquitous these days, but this site is special, featuring photography from five continents and more than 20 cities (the lass we’ve pictured is from Berlin). And if you want extra icing on your cake, it also gives you the dish on exactly what these everyday style icons are wearing, so you can emulate their looks yourself. Bliss.

Gorbachev for Louis Vuitton
Posted 30th Jul 2007 by Millie Ross

I think fashion is cool, and am not afraid to say it.
Fashion isn't just about trashy celebrities with IT bags and the "in" shoes. Louis Vuitton is launching an ad campaign shot by Annie Leibowitz starring Andre Agassi, Catherine Deneuve, and the last President of the Soviet Union, Mikhail S. Gorbachev, driving alongside the Berlin Wall.

Suddenly, my bad experience at the Louis Vuitton store in Paris (think rowdy Chinese visitors and crowds of Japanese tourists) is evaporating. By using a politician in its ad campaign, LV reinstates that old-school, let's roll around in a Rolls Royce feeling, while recognising an important part of world history.
