Hipster-come-internet-IT-girl Cory Kennedy has become the face of Sebastian International's latest styling product 'Whipped Cream'. Kennedy arrived on the scene about 2 years ago, becoming the centre of every style blogger's attention with her dishevelled look after appearing on Mark 'The Cobrasnake' Hunter's social photography website. I was quite intrigued for a while, but at the end of day what is in internet celebrity good for apart from some style inspiration? And now she has become the face of a hair product. Pardon me if I am wrong, but I do recall Miss Kennedy admitting to never even brushing her hair, let alone using styling products. So, just what is going on Sebastian, hmm? Perhaps he's using Cory's hair make over to sell his products. If so, he should have of at least used a before and after shot.
Two hunters in the US claim they've found bigfoot! Somebody call John Lithgow! The 230 kg body was discovered by two hunters in the US state of Georgia.A press conference to be held tomorrow is to determine the authenticity of the finding. Looks like a monkey suit to me...
QV is certainly becoming the place where the cool kids in Melbourne hang out. It’s bursting at the seams with cool shops, gourmet eateries and funky bars and the corner will go into coolness overload on Saturday April 19 when it hosts its very own street party!
The QV Street Party is being held to celebrate the latest casual and street wear looks from Red Cape Lane, home to Melbourne’s hottest youth street wear labels like Mooks, Edge Clothing, Stussy and Fox.
But they’ll be more than shopping to be done on the day, with Australia’s best skaters and BMX riders there to increase the heart rate as the audience witnesses all the thrills and spills of the bikes and boards! And if you’ve watched the opening scenes of Bond flick, Casino Royale, you’ll want to be there to see Trace Elements showcase their jaw-dropping art of Parkour. They’ll also be performing Running Free, visually amazing!
If you need something to tap your toes along too while you ponder whether to buy that hoodie or this hoodie, DJ Matt Sofo will be on hand providing some tunes and local hip-hoppers Wicked Force will have you cheering along to their hop-hop and break dancing routines.
There will be a whole bunch of discounts being offered on the day like 20% off selected sunglasses at Sunglasses Hut, 25% off all items at Westco and Fox, and 15% off at Edge for Edge Clothing Card Customers. Shoppers will also go into the draw to win a Dirt Jump Mountain Bike from SHM if they spend $50 or more in any Red Cape Lane stores.
The QV Street Party is from noon to 4pm and more information can be found on their website.
We all know who Krystal is. We can't walk into a newsagent without copping a flash of her surgically enhanced assets protruding off the front cover of a particular magazine and straight into our faces. For me and many other women, this image does nothing but: 1. Make us gag a little
2. Re-affirm that this is far from beautiful.
For men and young boys though, I assume they would experience the exact opposite reaction. These images in no way help a young girls view of what encompasses real beauty. It also, in no way gives young males a true perception of beauty and what is deemed attractive or pretty. This only sets them a standard - a very high standard at that.
What hope do girls have of ever pleasing a man when they have been constantly fed images of false beauty? Well, there is hope and a lot of it, but I guess it's just a point.
Tonight at 6.30pm on A Current Affair Krystal will be pleading her case against the only thing that made her famous. I guess we will hear her whinge about how she didn't mean to be a 'bad influence for young girls', but then again who will believe her? I sure don't see any hands raised.
The online Oscars have just concluded! And the big winner of the night...Laughing Baby. Such a simple idea, seen so many times by other babies, yet this one in particular takes the cake for most adorable video. It is pretty darn cute though, I reckon.
Other winners included an instructional video on how to complete a Rubik's Cube and Balloon Bowl, which involves a skateboarder and blue balloons, watch it to see it unfold!
According to the awards page, winners receive bragging right, a trophy and a special invitation to an event later on in the year...mysterious!
Unfortunately the awards are not so 'special' yet that all the nominees could be flown to one place for the awards ceremony. All 12 winners were announced online, but as You Tube spokesman, Aaron Ferstman, told Associated Press, "who knows what the future may hold?"

Blinding bunnies for beauty? You’ve got to be kidding, right? Sickeningly enough, there are still companies out there who get off on dropping chemicals into rabbits' eyes and spreading burning goop onto the backs of mice—all for the sake of vanity. And don’t even get me started about the nasty ingredients that are lurking in lip glosses and mucking about in mascara. We’re talking about beeswax, cow brains (tissue and tallow), lanolin (sheep fat), cochineal (bugs squished dead to make your lipstick red), and even gelatin (there’s a reason that it rhymes with ‘skeleton’). The list goes on and on. But, guess what? Finding cruelty-free cosmetics (products not made from or tested on animals) is easy if you know who the good guys are. Here’s a list of cool, cruelty-free companies that will help you create a killer look without having to kill animals.
