Loene Carmen's - It Walks Like Love
Posted 13th Nov 2009 by Catherine Milne

LOENE CARMEN transmits motion, stillness and electricity with her fourth album It Walks Like Love, and offers an exhilarating chronicle of her singular vision. Carmen worked with producer Burke Reid (The Drones, Jack Ladder, Mess Hall) in sessions at BJB Studios
with her live band and co-conspirators, axeman Brock Fitzgerald and drummer Sam Pearton from youngSydney/Birmingham punks The Scare and right hand man, bass player Sam Worrad rom garage rockers Holy Soul. Long time collaborator Mess Hall’s Jed Kurzel dropped by to record garage soul duet Oh Apollo!, Carmen’s father, legendary piano man Peter Head and daughter Holiday Sidewinder (Bridezilla) both lent a
distinctive hand, while the unmistakeable timbre of Tex Perkins underpins the ‘dizzying’ epic Gauloises Blue. But it is Carmen’s spellbinding voice that is the centrepiece of these ‘honeyed outsider blues’.With It Walks Like Love this sonic adventuress has created a showstopping, timeless album. Available in music stores from 5 December. In the meantime, check out the video of Mimic The Rain below.
