Square-y Mary, Quite contrary
Posted 21st Oct 2008 by Katie May Ruscoe
"I tried taking pictures, but they were so mediocre. I guess every girl goes through a photography phase. You know, horses... taking pictures of your feet".**sigh** If you hope your own photography career to have a longer shelf-life than that of Scarlett's whiney Lost In Translation Character then be sure to enter the YEN/Hansel photographic comp. Running throughout this month, the competition asks you budding snappers to interpret the title of Hansel's latest collection: Square-y Mary. The winning entry will not only have their shot featured in the DEC/JAN issue of YEN as well as the Hansel website, but they'll also find themselves the new owner of a Hansel wardrobe worth $2000. Head here for more info.

This 14 year old is talented... "I don't know why I started taking photographs and I don't know why I signed up for that darkroom photography class that changed my life. But whatever emotion or idea that possessed me to do so, I think I might love it." - Olivia Bee

BsAs through a Melbournite's eyes
Posted 16th Sep 2008 by Kirsten Drysdale

Photographer Cody Daley arrived here from Melbourne a little while ago and has been busy snapping everything quintessentially BA ever since - from classy ladies on black and white tiles, to dulce de leche smeared dudes and the ubiquitous footpath hazard of doggy-doo. He recently exhibited at Espacio 10 Arte Gallery and blogs his concepts here.
Terry Moustache

My two quirky friends Andreas and Simon started the website Terry Moustache, when they had the bright idea to take pictures of people holding a black umbrella handle above their mouths, hence looking like they have Terry Richardson's tach adorning their face. If you ask any of them who Terry Moustache is their answer would be something like: He lives in Siberia, he is a very mysterious person, no one has ever meet him. I think its a fun site of party goers and doers & a great idea. Keep up the good work up boys!

I love this blog, by the photographer Jason Evans. Every day he takes a picture of something that makes him happy and post it on his blog. Thats just how simple and nice life should be!
Backyard Bill
Posted 19th Aug 2008 by Fanny Bostrom
Hello my treasures! Today I'm blogging from an internet cafe in Brooklyn town, since my computer decided to not run firefox anymore. My homiekins Bill finally got his shit together and started a photo blog, Backyard Bill, where he is taking pictures of folks in their own style in our back garden, on our stoop or just around the hood. Me thinks this is a winning recipe, good style, good people and good fun. Also me and Billy are featured on "The Selby" this week, so go check it out!http://theselby.com/
