The son of the infamous Steve Earle, Justin Townes Earle graces our Australian shores this November...
His latest album 'The Good Life' is a reflection of the latest chapter in this young mans life. He has cleaned up his act and come back with a startling refreshing and honest sound.
It's an album drenched in country blues, folk, melodies and rightly so with Earle citing inspirations such as as Townes Van Zandt, Jimmy Reed, Kurt Cobain, The Replacements, Ray Charles and The Pogues.

The Wilson Pickers

Brilliant name and brilliant debut album ‘The Land Of The Powerful Owl’… The 5 piece are Sime Nugent (harp/vox), Danny Widdicombe (guitar/vox), Ben Salter (banjo/vox), John Bedggood (fiddle/mandolin/vox) and Andrew Morris (guitar/vox). Each member though a solo musician in their own right have joined forces to create swooping heartfelt folk harmonies as 'The Wilson Pickers'. Hollywood...

Angus and Julia Stone's lastest music video is for the upcoming single 'Hollywood' . The next track taken from their Album ' A Book Like This'. The Hollywood EP features some cracking b-sides.. They actually take on each others tunes and completely re-work them into what sound like brand new tracks... Lonely Hands is Julia's cover of the Angus sung track, 'Just A Boy' and its one of the best things I've heard from the siblings. Indeed if this is the sound wave the pair are currently riding one can only imagine what the next album is going to sound like
Tell us a Story..

Musicians are finding a way back to their creative roots. Artists are searching for a way to separate themselves from everyone else in this digital age. With so much music at our disposal what else can they offer? Luckily they have been blessed with the platform to offer us visual feasts in ways of art and film. It is through art and film they are given the chance to tell more of their story.

This story is of a couple breaking up but their shadows refusing to part, it took 7000 hand drawn images to make sure the story was told.

Walter Meego
are Justin Sconza and Colin Yarck, a duo from Chicago Illinois
The lovely pair create disco pop tunes full of synth driven bass that will do more than get your toes tapping… Having checked out their website it became very apparent that these guys have something fresh to offer.. It’s starry skies in a tropical oasis and you are dancing …! Oh yes you are dancing..
They recently signed to new local indie label BANDROOM RECORDS alongside Black Kids, Calvin Harris and Peter Bjorn and John and are set to release their debut album ‘Voyager’ down under on September 13.

Ride It On...

The Black Ryder are a psychedelic, shoegazing, experimental and mesmerising new act out of Sydney. The band formed in 2007 after it's 2 members, Aimee Nash and Scott Von Rypers exited from 'The Morning After Girls'.
Since this time the pair have called on a number of special guests to fill their line up including Mr Ricky Maymi (Brian Jonestown Massacre) and Graham Bonnar (Swervedriver). They have some impressive support slots under their belts with The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Ravonettes. Coming up in August they are set to support  Brian Jonestown Massacre and then they hit the road with The Warlocks in October.
Sultry vocals along with reverb drenched guitar make for impressive comparisons to Mazzy Star and The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Their minimalist approach is refreshing and you will quickly loose yourself under a wash of soothing yet rich melodies
Things are just getting started but it won't stay quiet for long. The band are currently working on their debut album. Listen to ‘Let It Go’ www.myspace.com/theblackryder
