As well as being held in a stunning location, nestled amongst the green hills of Suffolk, by a lovely lake and some rainbow coloured sheep (perhaps they're fed skittles?), last weekend's Latitude line up was killer.
Lovefoxx from CSS is my new hero! She wore not one, but a three layered outfit, an oversized t-shirt dress over rainbow sequinned catsuit which was finally shed to reveal a hot pink metallic catsuit! Quirky, childlike and totally inspiring, her joyous stage antics included nonstop bouncing, running man moves and helium rapping.
Amid the weekend's debauchery I caught up with Juanita and Brendan of brooding Sydney rock quartet The Howling Bells, who, at the tail end of a tour, were a tad tired but nonetheless performed with the style and sass that they're fast becoming famed for.

No, unfortunately it's not tomato ketchup, but remnants from the largest slaughter of marine mammals in the world. Shock encouragement to sign a petition that the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia-Pacific will send to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who along with
the Canadian government has permitted the annual slaughter of as many
as 335,000 baby harp seals. All so that some very rich folks can wear some shiny seal coats. PETA have enlisted the support of Oz muso's in its campaign against Canada's annual seal massacre. John Butler and members of Jet, The Vines, Something For Kate and Red Riders have all put their autograph down to help stop the brutal seal hunt. Do it.Find out more and show your support here.

It's not just the crepes and foi gras that get me. It's the history that pervades every part of Paris, from the pavements to the parks. This enchanting set of cinematic vignettes sees a hit list of directors celebrate 'amor' amongst the patchwork diversity of the city of lights. Gus Vant Sant, the Cohen brothers, Wes Craven, Alexander Payne and 14 others, were given 2-3 days and a tiny budget to capture a curious encounter in each of the 20 arrondissements. A lovestruck vampire (Elijah Wood), a stoned starlet (Maggie Gyllenhaal), a grieving mother (Juliette Binoche) and my fav- Payne's American tourist practising her guidebook French narrates the moment she fell in love with Paris- left me longing for a Eurostar jaunt.
