Latest Event Details:
Black & Blue Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of William ‘Grohl’ Harden’s new paintings entitled ‘Internal Workout Volume IX’.

‘Internal Workout Volume IX’ opens at Black & Blue Gallery on May 14 from 6pm-9pm and can be viewed until June 1.

Following on from his three highly successful shows, ‘Internal Workout Volume IX’ is William 'Grohl' Harden's first show as resident artist at Black & Blue Gallery.

The shows title is a reference to the mode in which Harden has created his abstract, nebular-esque paintings. Certainly not trying to pinpoint exact emotions, but pushing back further into his unconscious, pulling out for less obvious impressions. These impressions are vibrant mirrored gassy landscapes, painted impulsively, exploring the essence of abstract expressionism.

The artist's latest works reveal an increased maturity; former street influences and mediums have been phased out in favour of the acrylics and gouache that complement his intense watercolours and oils. Discovering the possibility of material use with a brilliant palette consisting of cool pinks and blues with earthy browns and oranges combined with iridescent gold and chromes.
