“If you could play anywhere in the world, where would it be?” is a pretty commonly asked question when it comes to interviewing musicians. The problem is that merely answering the question and wishing for it to be true doesn’t actually do anything because journalists aren’t genies. The people who work at Converse, on the other hand, kind of are.
They’ve asked bands where they want to play and they’ve made it happen. ‘Acts of Disruption’ is designed to disrupt traditional live music and tour mentality by giving musicians the opportunity to play wherever they want. Seriously. The series kicked off with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard playing in an abandoned hospital in Rozelle and we hear it was fittingly “nuts.”
The next round of one-of-a-kind shows will take place in yet-to-be-revealed locations around Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland. For a chance to win a limited double pass, head over here.
And here’s what you can expect: total chaos.
