Kiss Goodbye to MS

MS Australia wants to Kiss Goodbye to Multiple Sclerosis (MS). It would probably be more satisfying to flip it the bird or kick it in the shins, but let’s be grown up about this.

MS is the most common neurological disease affecting young Australian adults today, and it affects three times as many women as it does men. There is no known cure, but Australian scientists are optimistic and believe that one will be found. This is where you come in.

Kiss Goodbye to MS is calling on people to raise funds for vital research and support for people living with the disease. You can be as creative as you want when it comes to fund-raising. The simplest way is to donate directly to the site, but if you’re feeling wacky and want to have fun, here are some ideas:

You can get sponsored for wearing red lipstick in the month of May – super easy and everyone loves a lady (or man) in red. If you’re anti-lippy, there are red lipstick badges and stickers to decorate your lapels.

You could be sponsored to kiss something else goodbye – chocolate, red wine, cigarettes, anything really.

You could hold your own fundraising event. Kiss Goodbye to MS has a whole list of event ideas including parties, garage sales and trivia nights. They can provide you with a party pack and a link to edible cupcake toppings.

You could deck yourself out in all the merch. Just make sure to post a photo of yourself on their Facebook page.

World MS Day is 30 May, 2012. To register, head here.
