Romance Was Born for Sydney Theatre Company

By Carla Efstratiou | 13 October 2010

We LOVE the kooky designs of Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales from Romance Was Born. Now the crazy creatives have teamed up with The Sydney Theatre Company to produce costumes for Edward Gant’s ‘Amazing Feats of Loneliness’, set to open in June 2011. The play is set in 1810 and is known for its theatrics and outlandish elements, with The London Theatre Blog calling the play a “garish and cruel spectacle of the nineteenth-century freak-show.” Sounds like the kind of project Romance Was Born was made for!

Edward Gant’s Amazing Feats of Loneliness by Anthony Neilson runs from 21 June – 23 July 2011. Previews begin from 16 June 2011.
