In late 2010, we brought to your attention to Nerd Boyfriend. Today, we bring you its lady counterpart, Nerd Girlfriend. There are times when you feel like embracing your inner nerd, dork or dag and this site gives you the tools needed to do it fashionably. The benefit is that when you get your heart set on a particular ensemble the site provides links to similar items you can buy, which means less time spent wading through piles of op-shop polyester for that perfect pair of overalls.
NGF doesn’t appear to have many posts yet, but those it does have serve as a beacon to everyone who loves lady ties, suspenders, high-waisted anything and interesting layering. Lots of ’70s and ’80s icons like Angelica Huston, Jennifer Beals and a young Jodi Foster. We’ll be crossing our fingers for more posts, and in the meantime, wearing oversized frames and the occasional plaid scarf.
