NZFW Day 3

By Anne Fullerton | 8 September 2012

First show of the day was Salasai, which offered up a laid back, super-wearable collection of blouses, trousers and dresses, with a navy, brown and white print throughout (which was, impressively, also mimicked on the models’ nails). Models wore sleek, low ponytails and plaits adorned with a single strand of wheat to highlight the country feel. Special props go to the black and maroon biker jacket, an interesting take on a classic wardrobe staple.

The main event in the evening was Stolen Girlfriends Club’s off-site show, which was held in a transformed carpark. The show started with an unusual request for the audience to light the show with the screens of their mobile phones. The theatrics complimented the streetwear on display and access to an open bar ensured a few faces were missing at the morning show the next day!
