Hey you! Listen to this...

I was in Melbourne a few months ago. My bestie Kelly and I were aimslessly wandering the streets one Saturday night. We eventually found ourselves at the North Brunswick Hotel. We waltzed on in and bought tickets to a band we'd never heard of - Ghostwood.
I wasn't expecting a great deal as they did look about as small as the under 16's soccer team, although despite their tiny frames, they had the most mature sound. I couldn't believe how much feeling was imbedded behind the lyrics of every song. After being mesmerised for a whole hour and a half, I had found myself a new favourite band.
So the deal is, they're from Sydney, were still in high school (in '07), and wear very tight jeans, with big shirts and very long shoes. They were recently signed to Modular and are played on Triple J and FBI on high rotation. Anyway, I went to see them again last Thursday night at the Annandale Hotel with Van She. I felt like a groupie, but it was essential that I go and get a dose of good music. As expected they performed a great set. They may just be a couple of schoolboys, but they're on their way to a kick ass music career. Some have even compared them to The Cure! Here's the vid for their amazing song, Red Version. Check em' out.
