IT doesn’t matter that I was wearing them first. Before they became `the in thing’, I was wearing the vintage variety around the newsroom where my colleagues would often comment on how quirky and unusual my fashion sense is.
And now, low and behold, this statement relic piece from the 70s has officially been dusted off to make it into this season’s hottest trend.  Unfortunately I may have to resign to the fact that I will always be sanctioned to the out-of-style quarters, deemed always to be `uncool’ because I am forever a step ahead before the fashion has managed to reach the ‘trend alert’ status in the mainstream realm.
Ah well, not to worry. While it still won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, you can place a bet at your local TAB that this lovely piece will be making a resurgence among the style seeking super ladylike femmes in your local hood.
