Snoop ranch Dogg
There isn't much to say about this except that yes, Snoop Dogg is a genius. If you thought Sensual Seduction was a mindf**k then sit down for this one. My medicine is the new single of Snoop's genre-shaking latest album Ego Trippin' and it's a country number.....with Willie Nelson. Given the line-up i'm sure you can imagine what the "medicine" in question is; as Snoop sings "the more dedicated, the more medicated". Amazing!!!!!

Bling on the brass
Fancy an episode of Project Runway? Who needs the telly when you're sporting a giant pair of scissors? Or how about gun charm BANG! BANG! Stabbings are all too chic – so wear this pistol with pride. With tags like “You hit me. We hit you” and a collection of naked brass Victorian chics to dress up, who wouldn’t want to wear MAFIA? Ever since the eclectic, brass beauties flew into Portabello Market from Thailand, our style guru Linda Charoenlab has been selling them through the SUPERSWEET SHOP exclusively. You can browse or buy them at www.supersweet.org/shop
Hand in hand through our Parklife

Presented by Fuzzy, Parklife 2008 will travel to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane throughout September and October - bringing with it the impossibly sexy Goldfrapp; iconic Belgian duo Soulwax and the always entertaining Peaches. Oh and did I also mention 2manydjs, Dizzee Rascal, Diplo, Does it Offend You Yeah? Blackalicious, XXXChange, Ajax, Bag Raiders. Tickets go on sale in July and will probably sell out in the time it takes to dust off a pair of shutter shades or high-waisted denim shorts. For more info and the full line-up head to the Parklife website.
Fafi does Nippon with nippers
Featured is a shot from the Fafinette-inspired spread which graced the May issue of Nippon Vogue. As you can see it's a bunch of little kiddies dressed up as Fafi's much loved Fafinettes and it's mind-blowingly adorable. Apparently there's been a bit of backlash floating around the way of the blogs though, largely concerning the sexualization of children (anyone familiar with the original Fafinettes will know that they're a bit freaky) but while I'm usually extremely outspoken on this issue (don't
even get me started on Larry Clarke or
re-started on the baby highheels) I don't really mind these at all. See all the images here and let us know what
you think; cute or creepy?
It's getting hot in herre

Have you ever watched that local behind-the-scenes show Fire 000? It follows NSW fire brigades as they fight fires, attend natural disasters and rescue cats and of the growing "Real life Heroes" reality show genre (Bondi Rescue/ Search and Rescue/ Border Control) Fire 000 is probably my favourite. I'm quite happy to view it from the couch but if If you prefer your flame fighting action a little more 3D then you'll be pleased to hear that for the first time in two years, the New South Wales Fire Brigade is seeking new, male and female, recruits. The NSWFB is encouraging people from all walks of life and experiences to apply for full-time positions. Obviously a certain level of fitness and strength is a must but a bit of lateral thinking and the ability to pick up skills quickly wouldn't go astray either. Applications close June 27 so if your still holding on to that childhood dream (and maybe that ride-on fire truck) then now is the time to act! Click here more info.
Just browsing

This coming Thursday 19th marks a landmark event for Sydneysiders and Apple Inc aficionados alike with the opening of Australia's very first Apple Store. What's so special about a stupid gadget store I hear you ask? Perhaps that question can best be answered by aspiring New York model, Isobella Jade. Jade, who spent the better part of 18 months err, "just browsing thanks" in one of Apple's flagship stores managed to find the time to not only update her facebook profile using the in-store computers but also write a full length autobiography detailing her struggle to crack the competitive world of modelling. Apparently the staff were all but too happy to help her with any iPod related queries or spell check problems. So, with that in mind I might pop along to the opening this Thursday with my manuscript and notepad in tow hoping to bang out a bestseller by closing time.
